Discovery and application of iminotriphenylphosphorane as a formal aromatic primary amine protecting group

Abstract During our efforts to selectively synthesise N -arylated benzotriazole fragments, we developed a new primary aromatic amine protecting group strategy showing significant advantages over recognised protecting groups.
