Speed Sensorless Control of the Doubly-fed Wind Power Generator

2012
In the variable-speed constant-frequency wind power system, the use of speed sensor reduces the reliability of doubly-fed generator system.A speed identification scheme was proposed based on adaptive reduced order observer.By using the Lyapunov stability theory, the speed identification adaptive law was derived strictly. And the gain of the observer was obtained by using pole-placement technique.A speed sensorless control system for doubly-fed induction generator wind turbine was designed by using the speed adaptive reduced order observer and the vector control technique.Simulation results show that the adaptive reduced order observer has a good dynamic and static performance, and can obtain accurate speed and phase angle information of doubly-fed induction generator, and has fast response.
