The invention provides a dimmable tunnel LED (Light-Emitting Diode) illumination energy-saving control system and method, belonging to the technical field of illumination energy-saving control in a tunnel. The dimmable tunnel LED illumination energy-saving control system comprises an LED tunnel lamp, a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) dimmable digital power source, a region PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), a main control PLC, a first infrared vehicle detector, a second infrared vehicle detector, a first illumination detector, a second illumination detector, a radar vehicle detector and an external PLC. The dimmable tunnel LED illumination energy-saving control method is carried out according to the following steps of: 1, collecting a vehicle flow signal; 2, carrying out frequency modulation and dimming; 3, defining a name; 4, adjusting an illumination parking vision distance; 5, judging whether a vehicle passes through a tunnel or not, and determining the light intensity of a tunnel entrance section; and 6, adjusting the light intensity coefficient of the LED tunnel lamp. The dimmable tunnel LED illumination energy-saving control system and method provided by the invention have the advantages that the functions of illumination on demand, long-distance monitoring and automation are realized, energy-saving efficiency is improved, a real-time operation electric energy consumption curve is monitored, unattended operation is realized and labor cost is reduced.
