Crystallization and Spectroscopy of Transparent Glass-Ceramics with Tm:YNbO 4 Nanocrystals

Transparent lithium aluminosilicate glass-ceramics containing nanosized (8-15 nm) crystals of tetragonal and monoclinic rare-earth orthoniobates, Tm:YNbO 4 , and β-quartz solid solutions are developed. Their spectroscopic properties in regard to the phase transformations are studied.
