Method and apparatus for controlling a heat generating device

2008
A method of controlling a heat generating device having a first heat source (20), a second heat source (10) and a heat accumulator (30) for storing a heat, wherein the first heat source (20) as a function of external factors can assume a first operational state at times, in which the first heat source (20) supplies heat to the heat accumulator (30) and otherwise adopts a second operating state, in which the first heat generator (20) the heat accumulator (30) is not supplying heat and wherein the second heat source (10) is adapted, the heat accumulator (30) supplying heat; wherein the method for controlling the heat generating means comprises the steps of: - setting a cylinder temperature set point T - determining at least one storage tank temperature actual value - determining whether the first heat source (20) assumes the first operating state, - supplying heat to the heat accumulator (30) through the first heat source (20) when it is determined that the first heat source (20) assumes the first operating state, - comparing the adjusted storage temperature setpoint T - determining based on the determined deviation parameter, whether the heat storage (30) to supply heat by the second heat source (10), wherein in a first mode of the heat generating device to the heat accumulator (30) supplying heat by the second heat source (10) when the determined is deviation parameter is greater than a first deviation parameter limit value, wherein the method further comprises the step - switching an operation mode of the heat generating means from the first mode to a second mode in response to a supply of heat through the first heat generator (20) in the first operating state includes ...
