SYNTHESIS OF POLYURETHANE\|GRAFT\|SULFONATE AND ITS STUDY\=OF BLOOD\|COMPATIBILITY

A new reactive graft copolymer,poly(tetramethylene glycol)\|graft\|\|propyl sodium sulfonate\|poly(ethylene glycol)(PTMG\|g\|PEG\|CH\-2CH\-2CH\-2SO\+-\-3Na\++),was synthesized by the cationic polymerization of ,\|bifunctional PEG macromonomer ( OCH\-2 PEG CH\-2CH\-2CH\-2SO\-3Na ) and THF.Polyurathane\|graft\|\|propyl sodium sulfonate\|poly(ethylene glycol) (PEU\|g\|PEO\|CH\-2CH\-2CH\-2SO\+-\-3Na\++),was synthesized by using the copolymer as a polyether.In vitro blood\|compatibility tests results indicated that the sulfonate\|modified polyurathane can resist platelet adhesion and is more blood\|compatible.\=
