DNA Hybridization and Avian Phylogenetics
1987
In the preceding chapter in this volume, Cracraft has posed a series of questions concerning our application of the technique of DNA—DNA hybridization to the reconstruction of the phylogenetic relationships among living birds. Our purpose is to respond to Cracraft’s questions, to correct misunderstandings, and to reaffirm our confidence in DNA hybridization as a valuable and effective method for the reconstruction of phylogenies.
