Integrated supervision in music therapy: reading, analysis and testing of the cognitive, emotional and affective- relational aspects of the music therapy process.

2006
Integrated clinic supervision in music therapy is intended as an opportunity of personal and professional growth of the music therapist; as a matter of fact it is presented, according to Prochaska and Norcross model, as structured in formative stages through which it is possible to acquire new competences, in the framework of the integrated therapeutic model. The basis of the integrated model will be the philosophic and anthropologic choices on man, so that the integration will not represent a mere juxtaposition of different theories, but the possibility of using various instruments to understand the man and his needs. In practice the orthodoxy of theories will not be privileged to the appropriateness and necessity of intervention concerning the specific client.
