Design of Testing System for Optical Switch Matrix

The optical switch matrix is a key component in building up an optical cross-connect(OXC) device.For the purpose of testing the performance of the optical switch matrix,a testing system,which uses the Micro Controller Unit as master position machine and the computer as slave position machine,is proposed.The structure of the system and the application layer communication protocol are described in detail.A testing software is also realized with Visual C+ + 6.0 programming language.
