The invention discloses a method for constructing an arch bridge in a V-shaped valley without a tower. The method comprises the following steps of: arranging an arch box prefabrication yard along one side of a river channel; arranging a main cable ground anchor on a mountain on one side of the river channel, arranging a main cable ground anchor or a tower on a mountain on the opposite bank, anchoring a main cable between the two ground anchors or between the ground anchor and the tower, and arranging a crane on the main cable; arranging approach subgrade in the river channel of the arch box prefabrication yard leading to the main cable; and using a beam transport flatcar to vertically transport an arch box to a position below the main cable, rotating the arch box for 90 degrees and then lifting the arch box in place through the crane. The method for constructing the arch bridge in the V-shaped valley without the tower has the advantages that since the construction method of arranging the main cable ground anchors on the mountains on two banks (or erecting the tower on one bank) is adopted according to the characteristics that the construction site is in the V-shaped valley and the working place is narrow and long, the short-distance turning and hoisting of the arch box are realized, a large curve is not required to be arranged for turning the arch box, the occupied area is saved, the volume of the excavated ground at the valley belt is reduced, the environmental protection is facilitated, the safety and the operability are high, the manpower and material resources are saved, the working efficiency is improved and the construction period is greatly shortened.
