Carbohydrate includes both fibers and sugars. There are many types of sugars: monosaccharides such as glucose and fructose, disaccharides such as sucrose, and polysaccharides such as starch and dextrin. Excess intake of sugar cause obesity; World Health Organization (WHO) recommends reducing daily intake of free sugars such as glucose, fructose, sucrose and table sugar to less than 10% of total energy since 2015.
