Event-triggered Control for Automatic Train Operation With Prescribed Tracking Performance

2021
This paper studies the prescribed tracking performance control problem for automatic train operation (ATO) of highspeed trains based on event-triggered control (ETC) technique. Benefiting from utilizing ETC method, the transmissions of redundant information and the control updating frequency can be reduced. By combining the error transformation method introduced in prescribed performance control and ETC techniques, a novel combinational measurement approach for high speed trains is proposed, with merits that the transient bounds, over-shooting and ultimate values of tracking errors, which are denoted as prescribed dynamic tracking (PDT) performance, are guaranteed in the prescribed region. Moreover, Zeno behavior is avoided. Finally, the effectiveness of proposed method is demonstrated by simulation results.
