Evaluation Method of Maximum Wind Penetration Level Considering Static Voltage Stability Constraint

2020
With the increasing penetration of power electronic power sources represented by wind power, the problem of static voltage stability gradually becomes apparent. The maximum wind penetration level considering static voltage stability constraint needs to be evaluated in order to provide a basis for the planning and design and dispatch control of the power system. Thus, based on a static voltage stability margin index of line power operation curve, this paper proposes a method for evaluating the maximum penetration of wind power under static voltage stability constraint. Firstly, a method of calculating the static voltage stability margin index is analyzed. Then, the equivalent model of wind power grid connection is used to analyze the influence mechanism of wind power access on static voltage stability. Then the evaluation process of maximum wind penetration level is established by combining margin index and influence mechanism. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method are proved in the IEEE 39 node system. The simulation results demonstrate that the margin index is reasonable, and the evaluation results of the maximum wind penetration level of the key nodes are given, providing an important basis for the maximum consumption of wind power generation and the planning of regional wind power.
