The device (1) for temporarily closing an opening element on a support member (32) to ensure the temporary retention of said opening element in the closed position relative to said support member (32) comprising a body (4) supporting d the one part of the releasable attachment means on said support member (32) and on the other hand a projecting part (5) adapted to engage at least partially in a housing formed in said opening element and cooperate with a flange of said housing for locking said opening element in said closed position. This device is remarkable in that it comprises guide means (51, 52, 53, 54, 46, 47) translating said projecting part (5) relative to said body (4) to permit adjustment in position closed said opening element relative to said support member (32). The present invention finds application in the automotive field.
