Poly-C-vinyltetrazoles : a new type of polyacid

The synthesis and acidic properties of polymers of 5-vinyltetrazole and 5-isopropenyltetrazole are described. The results show that the behaviour of these polymers in solution is determined by both hydrogen bonds with participation of tetrazolic cycles and by hydrophobic interactions between monomer residues
