Use of anionic silicone surfactants to produce foam

2007
The invention relates to the use of a composition for the production of aqueous foam containing organosilicon graft copolymers, which is characterized in that the composition of silicon-organic graft copolymers which are obtainable by a method comprising a hydrosilylation step a) in which an alkenyl polyether reacted with a hydrogen siloxane is, and a free-radical grafting step b) in the presence of a free radical developing agent, wherein at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer is grafted to a a polyether containing compound, said monomers containing at least one anionic functionality selected from the group of sulfonates and / or sulfates and / or phosphates and / or phosphonates, the order of performing the two process steps is arbitrary and in each case the product of the reaction of the first process step as a starting material in the subsequent step is used to generate aqueous foam which can be applied to hydrophobic liquids. In particular, the invention relates to the use of such compositions for the production of fire-fighting foam.
