In the business plan presented below, an analysis is developed to verify the feasibility of creating a company to manufacture socks with exclusive designs with imported thread from Peru, in the city of Quito. This study starts with an analysis of the external environment, where opportunities and advantages to carry out the project are identified, such as the relationship between Peru and Ecuador. In addition, the target market is identified in the city of Quito, with a 9 percent share for the mentioned product. In this case, the sock is made from imported thread from Peru, which seeks to provide the consumer with a comfortable experience, with unique and resistant designs. In this sense, and according to the cost-based pricing strategy, the sale value of each pair of socks will be USD 9.70, where after covering the costs, a profit margin will be obtained. Likewise, differentiation strategies are established, generating a competitive advantage. Because it is an easily accessible product, it is essential to determine a value proposition, one of the strategies proposed here is the location of the store, which will be north of the city of Quito to take advantage of the influx of the market and thus satisfy the need of the client. Subsequently, the structure of the company is defined, which will be of five people, two of them will make up the administrative area and three will be in the stockings manufacturing area. Finally, it is established that the initial investment required will be USD 14,031, financed 64 percent with own resources and 36 percent with debt. It is estimated that in the first year there will be losses, but it is expected that from the second year profits will be generated and, in the fifth year the profit will be USD 88,8897.75. Based on what is stated in the preceding paragraphs, the viability of the business is verified because the values are positive for both the NPV and the IRR.
