The present invention relates to a sterile medical container (1) having a trough-like first container part (2), a cover-like second vessel part (5), a closure (43) and with a ventilation valve (44) for ventilating one of the first container part (2) and the second container part (5) surrounded by the container interior (19), said closure (43) pivotable between a closed position, in which the container parts (2, 5) by means of the closure (43) locked to each other, and an open position in which the container parts (2, 5) are unlocked, on one of the container parts (2, 5) is arranged.
