Meson-soliton scattering with full recoil in standard collective-coordinate quantization

Abstract We construct the correct Born terms of meson-soliton scattering with full recoil of the soliton within the collective-coordinate quantization of a 1 + 1 dimensional soliton theory under the standard gauge-fixing conditions. We also show that direct contributions from the soliton fields to the Born terms are null, and that the Tomboulis ordering of non-commutable operators is more suitable than the Weyl ordering for constructing the Born terms.
