PROPELLER NOISE MEASUREMENTS ON BOARD A RO-RO CONTAINER SHIP

An investigation of propeller cavitation on board a Dutch ro-ro container ship during the summer of 1979. This paper deals with the second and third parts of the programme: equivalent volume velocity of the propeller cavitation and the related hull pressures measured and calculated from the monopole strength. The influence of propulsion power on the vibration levels in the superstructure is also demonstrated.
