Electronic apparatus for measuring blood pressure

2009
An electronic apparatus for measuring blood pressure is provided with: a pressurization control section (104), which controls pressurization in a cuff (pressure control in a specific direction), and measures pressure pulse waves by obtaining cuff pressure signals at the time of controlling the pressurization; a shift determining section (112), which determines whether a positional shift is generated between the cuff position and a virtual heart position, based on output from an angular sensor, while the pressurization control is being performed; and a return processing section (106), which stops the pressurization control and controls depressurization in the cuff when it is determined that a positional shift is generated, and returns the pressure in the cuff to a specific pressure value, i.e., the pressure value before the positional shift is generated.  The pressurization control section (104) restarts the pressurization control after processing is performed by the return processing section (106).
