The invention discloses a method for synthesizing high-performance water-absorbent resin by virtue of an electron beam irradiation spray method. The method comprises the following steps: (1) adding 20-80 parts by weight of a polymerizable monomer, 0.02-5 parts by weight of a secondary monomer, 0.001-1 part by weight of a crosslinking agent and 0.01-5 parts by weight of other additives into a mixing kettle and uniformly mixing to obtain a to-be-polymerized material liquid; (2) converting the to-be-polymerized material liquid obtained in the step (1) into vaporous liquid drops by virtue of a pressure-conveying atomizing device, irradiating by the electron beam and instantaneously polymerizing to obtain gel particles; (3) drying the gel particles to obtain semi-finished product particles; and (4) carrying out surface cross-linking treatment on the semi-finished product particles to obtain the high-performance water-absorbent resin. The aqueous solution material containing an acrylic monomer is subjected to polymerization reaction by irradiation of an industrial electron accelerator, the liquid drop state of the aqueous solution material is achieved by virtue of the atomizing device, the polymerization reaction is completed in the moment that the liquid drops of the aqueous solution material pass through the electron beam scanning window so as to form gel particles, the gel particles are directly dried to form solid particles and the surface cross-linking reaction is carried out so that the high-performance water-absorbent resin is synthesized.
