Seguimiento y control de la fertirrigaciÓn nitrogenada mediante el producto inhibidor de la nitrificaciÓn 3,4-dimetilpirazolfosfato, en cultivo de melÓn tipo verde

2004
The levels of nitrates in the soil profile obtained by means of suction cups located to two different depths, 30 and 60 cm, for two different treatments is studied. The first treatment with traditional fertilization in the area (Campo de Cartagena) and the second treatment with supply of an ammonium fertilizer (Entec Solub 21®) which incorporate a nitrification inhibitor, the DMPP (3,4-Dimethylpyrazole phosphate). The contents of total nitrogen in melon leaves along the cultivation cycle and the total content of nitrates in the melon fruits, in the moment of the harvesting for both treatments, are also studied as well as the total production and the quality characterization of the fruits. The production has been very superior for DMPP treatment. A great nitrates leaching takes place being always lower for DMPP treatment. The contents of total nitrogen in the leaves along the cultivation cycle for DMPP treatment are higher than control. The contents of nitrate in fruits are smaller for DMPP treatment.
