Optical study of the phase transitions in LiKSO4

Abstract The birefringence of LiKSO4 has been measured over the range 27–700°C. The change in birefringence with heating and cooling is seen to be very different. Observations have been made on domains in (001) and (100) plates near the phase transitions.
