The exploring of sample weaving process of Vectran filament yarn

This article explores the main process design and weaving parameters of weaving plain fabric of Vectran filament yarn on sample rapier loom to test its weave ability of Vectran filament yarn to develop new industrial textiles.The result indicates that its weave ability is similar to that of Aramid fiber.The main problem in its weaving process is the difficulty in weaving tension applying and controlling.The filament yarn is easy to pilling,and has to be pre-treated.
