Theatrale Organisationsforschung im Spiegel der Praxis

2014
The THINK Project (Theatric Interventions in Innovation and Co-operation Management) analyzes the behaviour of people in organizational contexts through a focus on the methods of theatric organization research. Its concrete purpose is the development of a management system based on behavioural aspects for the realization of co-operations. The Theatric Organization Research uses an approach based on the action research, which involves the participants of companies as researches actively in the research process. So Theatric Organization Research is becoming a collective learning process of both, scholars and practicians. The linkage of analyzing, cognition oriented science on the one hand and utilitarian practice on the other hand needs to be well balanced in the process of action research in order to prevent one strand from gaining dominance over the other. To avoid this, special “spheres” will be defined to either promote the network of scholars and practicians or to make their separation possible. In toto, the Theatric Organization Research succeeds in combining an elaborative access to a scientific explanation of phenomena in practical life – and of practical phenomena – with an empirical examination of the model hypotheses. In this article the research design will be reflected mainly from the practical point of view.
