The role of basement control in Iron Oxide-Copper-Gold mineral systems revealed by satellite gravity models

From qualitative and quantitative information (forward and inverse modelling) extracted from satellite gravity models (Global Observation Combination-GOCO05sModel³), and other geophysical data airborne gravity and magnetics, seismology, seismic, magnetotellurics data), here we present insights on the regional framework of the Iron-Oxide-Copper-Gold4(IOCG)-bearing districts of the Carajas Mineral Province (Brazil) and the Olympic Province (Australia). These two regions comprise some of the largest IOCG districts worldwide.
