The Structural Optimization of the Circulating Water System for Multi-cooling Towers

Cooling water systems for multi - cooling towers were studied,the circulating water system structure optimization model about multi - towers circulating water system was established and solved by NLP(non - linear programming) in GAMS—a business software.Optimal structure and matching coefficient when operational cost was minimum was obtained.A detailed case study was given,the power of fans and pumps,makeup water,the operational cost under optimal matching had been compared with the original results.The results suggested that all of them were decreased after optimization. Thereinto,the operational cost had decreased by about 20%,the result was satisfied.
