Plasma submerged arc heating device of 5-600 tons steel ingot risers

2012
The utility model relates to plasma heating equipment used for a steel ingot riser, in particular to a plasma submerged arc heating device of 5-600 tons steel ingot risers. A plasma dedicated device is used for the heating and the thermal-preservation of the 5-600 tons steel ingot risers and is applicable to the heating and the thermal-preservation of risers of steel ingot and other materials, wherein the risers are in different sizes, and the plasma dedicated device can also be used for smelting non-ferrous alloys. The plasma submerged arc heating device comprises components including a direct-current (DC) power supply cabinet, a control cabinet, a plasma submerged arc heating gun and the like, the plasma submerged arc heating gun is in a three-layer structure, an air channel is arranged between an outer layer and a middle layer, a water-cooling channel is arranged between the middle layer and an inner layer, the front end of the middle layer is a cathode electrode, the outer layer is in a segmented combination structure, the back face of the outer layer is in a steel structure, and the front end of the outer layer is in a fireproof material structure. The disadvantages of traditional plasma heating equipment are overcome, the plasma submerged arc heating device of the 5-600 tons steel ingot risers is used for the submerged arc heating and has the advantages of being small in energy consumption, small in noises, rapid in arc starting, small in influence on peripheral measuring meters, and suitable for heating the steel ingot risers.
