Research on the Variation of the Soil Fertility in the Garden of the Eucalyptus Forest Replacing Masson Pine

2011
[Objective] The change of the soil fertility in the forest land of the eucalyptus replacing the former——Masson pine was analyzed.[Method] The soil sample from the forest land of Masson pine and from the forest land of eucalyptus that were planted in the same land of the former——Masson pine growing after they had been felled in Liuzhou city of Guangxi province was analyzed and compared in the soil fertility.[Results] After the Masson pine was replaced with eucalyptus, the content of organic matter, total N,total P,total K and available K in the forest soil was same as before, however, the content of alkaline solution N and available P was increased and the pH value was also improved. The soil integrated fertility was not reduced and would be improved in the late period of eucalyptus forest growth.[Conclusion] at the beginning that the Masson pine was replaced with eucalyptus there was no any variation in the soil fertility and the integrated fertility of soil in eucalyptus forest would be improved in later.
