Size effect on punching resistance of slabs without shear reinforcement

Several viewpoints of major codes on the measurement of size effect on punching shear capacity were reviewed by using a new evaluation method proposed earlier and a modified coefficient of variation,based on a total of 413 slabs collected.The results show that linear function suggested by EC2 is preferable to other forms in reflecting the influence of slab depth on its punching resistance,and thus provides a worthy reference for our code revision.
