The present invention provides: a binder for the production of an inorganic sintered body, which has excellent thermal decomposability and enables, if particularly used as a binder for a ceramic green sheet, the achievement of a ceramic green sheet that has sufficient mechanical strength and flexibility and is capable of maintaining excellent sheet characteristics over a long period of time, while being not susceptible to moisture adsorption; a paste for the production of an inorganic sintered body, which uses this binder for the production of an inorganic sintered body; and a molded ceramic green body. The present invention is a binder for the production of an inorganic sintered body, which contains a graft copolymer having a unit that is composed of a polyvinyl butyral and a unit that is composed of a poly(meth)acrylic acid, and wherein: the polyvinyl butyral has a polymerization degree of 800-5,000, a hydroxyl group amount of 20-40% by mole and a butyralization degree of 60-80% by mole; and the unit that is composed of a poly(meth)acrylic acid has a glass transition temperature of -65°C or more but less than 0°C.
