2LJ-8 : Highly efficient perovskite based light-emitting diodes by defect passivation
2018
The organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite materials are attracting an interest because of their outstanding characteristics that enable a remarkable enhancement of device efficiency for light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and solar cells. High-quality perovskite films are necessary for highly efficient and stable perovskite devices. However, solutionprocessed perovskite films inevitably contain defect sites such as voids, pinholes, grain boundaries and under-coordinated ions, creating a large number of undesired electronic trap sites. Here, we investigate the significant beneficial effects using a new treatment based on aminebased passivating materials (APMs) and proper hole transport layer to passivate and control the defect sites, resulting in improved efficiency and long-term stability of perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs).
