The present invention discloses an hdr adaptive color mapping method for optimizing an image recognition degree. The method comprises the steps of inputting a color image and carrying out the normalization processing on the brightness or saturation of the pixel points of the color image; carrying out the histogram equalization on the brightness or saturation of the pixel points of the color image after the normalization processing, wherein the histogram equalization is characterized in that the brightness or saturation of a pixel point is the proportion that the number of the pixel points less than the pixel point occupies the number of all pixel points in the image; mapping the brightness or saturation of all pixel points as the outputted brightness or saturation values; and outputting the color image. The hdr adaptive color mapping method for optimizing the image recognition degree is simple to calculate, does not need to carry out the color space conversion on the images of general statuses, is rapid and simple in image mapping, needs the smaller calculation amount, is suitable for the environments not having high calculation amount requirements, such as the mobile calculation, etc., is good in effect, is more moderate in brightness or saturation enhancement degree, and enables the human eye visual perception to be more natural and comfortable and the color brilliance to be improved obviously.
