[HPV-20-induced epidermodysplasia verruciformis].

1987
: A 58-year-old man is presented who has suffered from epidermodysplasia verruciformis (EV) for 11 years. The lesions on the distal extremities are similar to verruca plana; those on the trunk and upper arms consist of red slightly squamous plaques. No malignant tumours have been observed so far. Only human papilloma virus (HPV), type 20, was found in all lesions. No cell mediated immune reaction disorders could be demonstrated. Virus identification is considered an important prognostic criterion.
