CNC tool cutting edge radius measurement method based on laser scanning confocal technique, characterized in that it comprises a tool edge pretreatment installation tool, the tool edge data acquisition, the processing of data. Pretreatment refers to a tool edge tool edge cleaning to remove debris remaining after sharpening the blade, to ensure accuracy. The installation tool is the choice of an appropriate angle to the gauge block, the tool is mounted properly to the jig, the cutting edge is to ensure proper measurement position. Tool edge acquiring data comprises: using a laser scanning confocal microscope positioned and focus the tool edge; layered scanning, acquiring the three-dimensional height image edge portion. After processing of data including data denoising smoothing, calibration and data fitting edge transition arc. The laser confocal scanning microscope acquires the edge portion, characterized by the completion of the tool edge through an arc segment. The present invention may be in the tool without damaging the structure, improve the measurement accuracy of the cutting edge.
