Search for a12C+12C decay of the 30.2 MeV resonance in the28Si+12C system

A kinematically complete experiment has been performed in order to search for a three-cluster decay of the 30.2 MeV resonance in the12C+28Si interaction. No evidence was found for the emission of two12C from the12C−16O−12C configuration predicted by the three-body nuclear model of Wiebicke and Zhukov.
