Use of quingestanol acetate as a contraceptive in the puerperium (Abstract only)

Daily administration of 3 mg of quingestanol acetate beginning on the 3rd day after childbirth was found to be and effective method of contraception with few side effects. The study was done on 800 women and covered more than 4000 cycles. Effects studied included those on lactation duration of postpartum amenorrhea irregular bleeding once menstruation began and those on the endometrium.
