Ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer of increased solidification point and its production

PURPOSE: To obtain an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer having a high vinyl acetate content and a high solidification point. CONSTITUTION: There are provided an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer comprising 75-92 wt.% ethylene and 8-25 wt.% vinyl acetate and having a solidification point of 87°C or higher and a melt viscosity of greater than 1,200 cSt and a process for producing the same.
