RADIOLYSIS OF 2,2,4-TRIMETHYLPENTANE WITH /cap gamma/ RAYS FROM $sup 60$Co

Radiolysis of 2,2,4-trimethylpentane with gamma rays of different intensities and different doses from /sup 60/Co was studied for products in the range C/sub 1/ to C/sub 8/. Radiolysis products were identified with gas chromatographic techniques and mass spectrometry, and G data were calculated. Some of the products in the range C/sub 9/ to C/sub 16/ were identified and the various G values were compared with the data obtained by others; in addition, the ratio isoctene (1) isoctene (2) was calculated.
