became normal. The condition was assessed as posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome that developed as a complication of treatment with infliximab. PRES is defined as vasogenic brain edema in connection with neurotoxic impairments. Predisposing factors are hypertension, eclampsia, immunosuppressive therapy, chemotherapy, biological treatment. Pathogenetic is hyperperfusion, arterial hypertension, endothelial dysfunction, direct cytotoxic effect of drugs on endothelium etc. Clinical manifestation include headache, visual disturbances, convulsions and coma. 80% of patients have moderate to severe arterial hypertension. The diagnosis provides characteristic findings on magnetic resonance imaging of the brain. The prognosis is usually good, the disease heals ad intergum, but are also described cases with neurological consequences.
