Editors’ Commentary 8

The chapters grouped within this last topic deal with several aspects such as: identification of candidates for, and goals of, epilepsy surgery; predictors of a good outcome; and several surgical approaches per se. We intended to present data from which ‘consequences for the present practice of epilepsy therapy in Europe’ could be derived. This was discussed in a final panel (moderator: Engel; panelists: Crandall, Creutzfeldt, Gloor, Janz, Lopes da Silva, Ojemann, Petsche, Rassmussen, Wyler).
