Life expectancy and health status of the aged.

This article is concerned with the health of those affected by changes to the U.S. Social Security Act enacted by Congress in 1983 and also with the usefulness of life expectancy or mortality trends as indicators of health status. The focus is on the aged population. (ANNOTATION)
