Research: Drying Fresh Flowers of Sect. theoppsis

In this paper, the effort is made to find the optimal treatment conditions for the fresh flowers drying process including microwave blanching, thermal blanching, microwave drying and thermal drying. A new drying process for the fresh flowers of Sect. theoppsis is introduced. The experiment is conducted as follows: sample picking→clean→treatment under 800 W microwave in 80 s→thermal drying under 60 ℃ in 120 min→sample preservation. The sample flowers obtained through the proposed process show more attractive appearance and are more fragrant than any flower tea currently sold in the market, hence has much higher commercial value in the today's market.
