Optimization of Ambient Air Parameters for Cut Tobacco Storing

For ensuring the stability of moisture content in cut tobacco of different cigarette blends stored in the same ambient conditions,the temperature and relative humidity(RH) in the cut tobacco storing room were analyzed and optimized by orthogonal test;and the optimized conditions were verified.The results showed that: 1) optimal ambient air parameters were: temperature 26 ℃,RH 58%;2) RH was the key factor affecting the moisture content in cut tobacco,which reached extremely significant level;temperature affected the moisture content insignificantly(0.05P≤0.20);while the interaction between temperature and RH showed no effect on the moisture content(P0.20);3) the change of moisture content in cut tobacco negatively correlated with the price categories of cut tobacco,cut tobacco of higher price category was less affected by ambient air parameters.
