Investigation on the Compliance of Anticoagulant Therapy for Heart Valve Replacement Patients

Objective To study the compliance of anticoagulant therapy for patients after cardiac valve replacement,providing basis for the treatment and prevention of this disease.Methods Eight-four patients after valve replacement treated in our hospital from January.2008 to December.2009 were investigated.General information,treatment compliance and health knowledge were surveyed by questionnaires.Results In all subjects,2 patients with hemoptysis,1 case with large thigh ecchymosis,2 cases with retroperitoneal hematoma,1 case with epistaxis,1 case with heart valve thrombosis.The international normalized ratio and prothrombin time were prolonged of all patients exception 2,and the symptom relief after treatment.Average scores of treatment compliance in patients:medication compliance with(3.94±1.28),follow-up compliance with(3.35±1.17),diet compliance with(2.30±1.08).And men in three areas of compliance were lower than females(P0.05).Conclusion Patient's compliance scores of anticoagulant therapy were very low.In clinical treatment,health education should be strengthened to improve patient medication compliance.
