Efeito da deposição ácida em ecossistemas florestais
2021
The present work brings a bibliographic review about the aspects related to acid rain and its relation with forest ecosystems. Forests, whether planted or native, act as “filters” in ecosystems, where the structure, both aerial and root, act as regulators of hydroclimatic conditions. However, the destruction of forests is causing an imbalance in ecosystems, where human activities are being increasingly accentuated due to industrial development. Allied to this development is the release of gases into the atmosphere, responsible for acid rain. The effects resulting from this acid deposition are serious, and may infiltrate the soil, destroying the microfauna and even extinguishing forests in their entirety, as it interferes with the process of photosynthesis. The importance of broad approaches on the topic is emphasized, as well as the incorporation of new studies.
