Analysis of a hidden memory variably distributed-order space-fractional diffusion equation

Abstract We prove the wellposedness of a space-fractional diffusion equation governed by a hidden memory variably distributed-order fractional derivative, which provides a competitive means to describe the history memory property of anomalous diffusive transport of solutes in heterogeneous porous media.
