Conclusion: The Place and the Trajectory of Hyperdemocracy

The hyperdemocracy thesis relates in a complex way to existing strands of democratic theory, discarding some of the strands while extending others and weaving them into a new combination. By way of restatement and elaboration of the hyperdemocracy thesis, in this concluding chapter I will discuss its points of agreement and disagreement with three broadly distinguishable analytical and normative positions in democratic theory: the progressive, the radical, and the conservative.
