Research and Practice of Multiphase Flow Logging Optimization and Imaging Algorithm

At present, the multi-phase flow in oil wells is still measured by the traditional single point measurement method of local spatial average, which can not obtain the spatial distribution information of fluid medium. Therefore, it is very difficult to identify the flow pattern and calculate the phase content and phase velocity when determining the downhole flow profile. Imaging logging technology can real-time detect the fluid flow in the well, obtain the two-dimensional or three-dimensional distribution information of multiphase fluid, give the phase distribution profile through processing, realize the flow pattern identification and determine the phase content and phase velocity. Therefore, this technology is becoming a research hotspot in geophysical logging field at home and abroad. Based on the difference of conductivity and dielectric properties of oil, gas and water in oil well, and according to the characteristics of electromagnetic field in fluid in oil well, an optimized imaging method of multiphase flow logging is proposed.
